Let me introduce myself – I am Caroline
the Circle of Life Celebrant, I am a retired university lecturer in Psychology and a highly empathetic and creative person who understands how important it is for people to mark the changes in peoples’ lives with positive and memorable celebrations.
Life can be thought of as a circle – from conception through to passing on we take a journey which is marked by great events. From birth to coming of age, or meeting and joining our life partner, having our children, naming them or welcoming partner’s children into the family or adopting a child. Finally, when we pass away the journey we have been on through life should be celebrated as fully as possible at a burial, crematorium or memorial service, after which our final remains become part of the Earth on which we live.
The ceremonies outlined in these web pages are those that many people will encounter throughout life, however, I am very happy to help you with any celebration you wish to have, and will happily discuss your ideas and wishes for anything you would like.
Whether you want to celebrate a naming, wedding or a funeral/memorial I can help you create the celebration you want, where you want and how you want. In addition to my Celebrant skills, I also have 2 largeish gazebos and one standard size for hire and can help you with finding, booking or permissions for public space celebrations.

Naming and Welcoming To The Family Ceremonies
Organising, writing, practice and celebration – £320

I have a range of special ways to celebrate your new child’s (or children’s) arrival as well as being open to incorporate any ideas or plans you have. You might wish to provide a ‘keepsake box’ for your guests to provide something small for your child to have a lasting record of the event, or provide a small album for your guests to write their blessings in for instance.
Miscellaneous Extra Costs – As agreed (Reception MC / Toastmaster)
~ Travel expenses – All my prices include travel costs up to a 20-mile radius of Ilminster. After that all mileage is at 45p per mile.
~ Accommodation – I am happy to travel throughout the UK. At cost price if flight tickets or overnight stay in hotel required.
~ Final agreed invoice to be paid in full not less than two weeks prior to the ceremony. Ceremony script released on receipt of final invoice.
~ If you wish to have a special certificate printed on parchment, I can arrange this at cost plus £15 for design and commission. Likewise with order of celebration documents for guests, the cost will be £20 plus printing costs.

I have a range of special ways of celebrating your marriage, commitment, handfasting or renewal of vows and am open to any ideas you wish to include. Costs of these will be calculated to include the cost of any purchased items and my time in sourcing and providing them and are additional to the cost of the ceremony outlined above. For instance you may wish to have an order of ceremony to present to all your guests, or a special parchment certificate, a sand ceremony, drink from a quaich or loving cup, a ring-blessing from your guests … there really are many creative ways of joining your lives or renewing your vows.
